Definately a scam...
A year ago when I was looking at buying a 4Runner, before finding my current one, the same sort of scam was on Craigslist...
The only difference was that the person was claiming to be overseas in our military... They claimed that the price included shipping from NC to NY, and that I would even have a 30 day "trial" on the truck - they assured me that my $2800 would stay in a secure account until the 30 days had elapsed.
When I Googled the address for the PayPal account, it looked like some crack den somewhere in Texas...
Yes...RUN, don't walk away from these kind of posts...!
Of course I got slightly burned from an actual used car dealer in OH where I bought my current truck sight unseen - so learn from that mistake as well...
Got it home only to find out that all three u-joints were shot, and now a year later I find out that the axle seals are blown, and the rear axle housing has rusted so bad there is a gear oil leak coming from the center of the non-removable differential cover...
I love my 4Runner, but I wish I had checked it out a little closer and haggled on the price to at least cover the expense of the repairs... ...and NEVER buy a used truck during the winter in the north-east...the last thing you want to do on a test drive is crawl under the truck for a look-see in the cold and wet winter conditions...
