Craigslist find: 2000 limited, multimode with diff lock!

It doesn't look like it has a rear locker. The diff lock switch looks like the center diff lock for the multimode transfer case.

That's definitely a rear diff lock switch. On a 2000 Limited, multi-mode is controlled by the push button on the side of the shifter. The diff lock is controlled by the switch on the dash.

Press the button on the side of the shifter, and the rest is done by moving the shifter. The 01-02's have the same button on the shifter, and an extra button on the dash for the CDL. The 00 Limited is the exact same minus the CDL button on the dash.

my tcase has 3 positions 4hi, neutral, 4lo. how many positions does the 2000 multimode have?

The 99-00 have a j shift pattern with the button on the side of the knob controlling 4wheel full time, the 01-02 have straight back and forth movement with the button on the side of the knob controlling the add and button on the dash controlling 4wheel full time/4wheel part time.

4 positions H2/H4, H4L, N, L4L. H4 is center dif unlocked, like AWD, using the button on the side of the transfer case shifter.

I have a 2000 Limited with a rear diff lock, and that one looks just like mine...

I see so it just cant do 4lo awd, ive used that a couple times to pull stuff with the truck on the street.

OK. My 02 has the center diff lock switch there and the button on the side of the shifter puts it into AWD.
