Craigslist find in Eugene Or - 99 limited with locker

Here you go guys. A 99 limited with locker. It looks like it's in pretty good shape aside from the front right fender scrape. Average price around here from a dealer. A bit high from a private party.

I have gold on my SR5 Sport. I bought mine new and it was a special package. The sales guy straight up asked me if I wanted the gold letter package or silver. I have the original 2001 4Runner brochure and it has the exact same rig as mine on the cover with the silver lettering/badging.

Actually the gold lettering/badging is made with real gold, so it's more than just color. It's obviously a 90's thing but some choose to still keep it (like me). I don't think it was available with all colors as it doesn't compliment some colors as well as others. I don't have a clue about the silver. Someone else would need to chime in on that.

I'm not sure if I still have it or not, but I know I used to have a yellow flyer that provided care instructions for the gold plated accessories. I'll look for it and take a photo of it. I really don't believe I paid anything extra for them. I have my window sticker on here in my build. I'll take a look. Think it was just an option.

The 'Gold Package' was sold by dealers along with rustproof, undercoat, paint sealant, etc.

So the 'gold package' could be more desirable (other than color)? I'm interested to see the undercarriage and rust (or lack of) for different color packages.
I have a '99 'gold package' and virtually zero rust, but I attributed that to being in Houston.

Dunno what happened back then but my '99 Limited has no locker switch on the dash - has the H4L and L4L markings on the 4WD shift lever. Automatic locker? Anybody know how this one works?
