1985 Toyota 4runner

Of crap, it's already sold and showed up in my driveway with it's new owner.

Is that an original solid axle is see?



New owner got bent over on this thing.



Personally I think SVD should keep the white rims.

So far it's a sweet little rig! Ill start the build towards the end of July but till then ill be taking care of little things, brakes, small areas of rust, etc. it's an 85 that's in pretty good shape. It has a new engine with about 2500 miles on it. Ill take some good pics tomorrow and get them posted up.

So SV Dude sold his 1st gen to upgrade to something more capable. Then the 2nd gen was tying up too much funds and the wifey didn't like it, so it had to go.
So now you bought a solid axle 1st gen to have something cheap and capable, a happy medium?

I really liked the other runners... But after not having either i had to get another. It wasn't really ever much if a money thing as much as I wanted to find something that the wife and I can do together, since I got rid of the 2nd gen, my wife felt guilty and told me to get another 4runner. Who am I to argue that?

The 2nd gen was far more capable but to be honest, I liked the 1st gen more. The only reason was because I built my first 1st gen. Bob did a good job building his but I just bought it and didn't do anything really to it so to me it was just a rediculously capable machine that didn't really have a whole lot of meaning to me. This one will have all the sweat and blood that my other 1st gen had and more.

I'm getting ready to take the wife to Washington state so I won't really start a build on it till the end of July. But the interior will get some loving first then ill work on the body and pffroad capabilities.
