LOL... Similar experience, except in a cemetery. Not a lot of "living" people walking around though. :bluejump:

Went way to fast around a corner....nearly sh*t myself when i realized i barly made it. It happened on saturday. I must have forgot how bad my disconnected rear shock is (new shocked are being shipped out as we speak). I saw a range rover take it at 10mph faster than i took it, so i figured i would make it, i did, but i barely did.
Driving down a trail in central florida during rain season. Come to a part where there is lots of water. Get out, walk it, decided i can probably make it (stock SR5 2WD). Get about 3/4 of the way through the water and the mud starts giving out under me. Normally I can work my way out of these situations (I've been stuck a million times before in this truck, so you kinda learn some tricks), this particular time I could not. My buddy in his 3rd gen 2wd tries to pull me out and gets just as stuck as me. Back wheels were 100% under water, fronts were about 50%. This is 2 AM. So, naturally, we hike it to a road and get picked up by a buddy who takes us to wal-mart where we purchase a hand-which rated at 2000LBS and go back. Needless to say we were there, waist deep in water/mud winching my truck out with a POS hand winch till 5AM. The winch got clogged with water/sand/mud and we had to flick this thing over with a screwdriver every time we cranked it back and fourth, otherwise the line would just unreel again. Then I pulled him out with my truck. For the record a 4x4 4Runner would have made it no problem. I daresay I would have made it had I had a locker back there. But I didn't. And neither did he.
Then imagine the same exact thing but in sugar sand instead of water. Back axle laying on the ground. That's happened about 6 times. We never learn.

I have done a lot of crazy things out on the trail, but this was one of my favorite "on road" adventures.

Holly cow..first. The UPS truck...was the dude in it trying to drive, or did you just pull the big brown with a recovery strap?...did you air down on the snow, or just driving normall...real wet snow is my guess right..
Guy in the mud...holy #$%^. If I had tried that in my ISuzu trooper, I would have been a gonner...your clearly not in low there either...insain.

I knew I had to shut down the tunes to lower the antenna but my head unit was so new I did not know what to do....:whipping2
In the 2nd gen I tried to play "bullfighter" with a pissed off cow-not a steer-just a cow. Cow simply stepped to one side and then head butted my passenger door as I tried to accelerate past.
I swear that cow just stood there too snickering at me....:hello:

I took my truck on a road trip to Dorney Park and many times to Atlantic City, but nothing crazy really happened.
The craziest (stupidest) thing I ever did was try to show off in the most recent blizzard. I stopped in a 3.5 foot drift and thought I could get out. Yeah right.....

Took the family to South Padre, Texas this summer. After dinner one night, we went for a drive along the beach - the one that is not open to the public - but I am in a 4runner that will go anywhere right? After doing some donuts and prancing over a few small hills to show off to the kids, I felt brave and decided to try and conquer a much larger sand dune, after much encouragement from the kids, ....., but it conquered me and I high centered. I did not have any of my recovery gear with me, so after about two hours of digging sand with a stick, it was around 10pm and very very dark. The family was not getting amused. I had decided to give up and start walking toward town (3 miles away) to get help. About that time, this guy in a camoflauged Dodge truck came down to see if we needed help. He had a tow strap and everything. Best $20 bucks I ever spent.

I was driving home from my then girlfriend's house about 15 miles away from my house at around 11pm. Had to get on the freeway to get home and it was a turnabout ramp to get on the freeway. And naturally, it had been raining. One of the first rains of the season so everything was very slippery. Needless to say, as the ramp straightened out I put my foot on the gas pedal(didn't gas or it anything, just happened to time it perfectly I guess...thanks RWD) and before I knew it i had jumped the median dividing the ramp, crossed three lanes of the freeway, and was doing 360s in the middle of the road. Thank god it was late at night and no one happened to be passing by at that exact moment. But after about 3 complete 360s I managed to get the truck under control and stopped, narrowly missing the median by about 3 feet. After getting it straightened out and back on my way I was totally fine with no damage to myself or the truck. Was scary as hell though.
