Crazy bird attacks my mirror every day.

So I've been wondering why I have been getting some crazy amount of ... bird poop on my car. Turns out there is some crazy bird in my area that just loves messing with my car. Here he is fighting himself in my side view mirror. He does that ALL DAY so I fold my mirrors in all the time now.

Also, my mom also has a 4Runner, and that bird will hop from my car to hers when they're near.

The video is a little shaky but it's all I can do with my digital camera.

Funny funny, you got the bird red handed.

Is that the only spot you can park? Chances are the bird is a creature of habit, and will continue hitting up that one spot.

I used to park next to a pole at work. The spot was always open even when I got in late. I guess everyone knew that if you parked next to the pole, by the afternoon youd have a nice surprise.

I'm sure it's about mating season for the Chickadees and he knows when he sees your car another male is always present and he wants to fight him for the females in the area.

There is a simple fix for this problem:

Go to the store Hardware, Tractor Supply etc. and pick up one of them fake plastic Owls that are about a foot tall and strap it to your outside mirror to scare him off . As a matter of fact get two of them one for each side and leave them on all the time ...... You know to scar the birds away ............ By the way when you do this we want some pictures of it.

LOL, that's funny. I'd get $2.00 mirror at the store, tie it somewhere on that iron fence and give the bird something else to work on. If that doesn't work id get a cat.

That's a great point just tie the cat to the side mirror that has the problem.

Had the same thing last year. washed bird poop off the door every day for a little over two weeks.
i felt bad but it would not stop,till i shot the bird. after that,no more poop!

A blackbird ripped apart the sunroof gasket of my Acura. It could see itself in the glass and poked until it found a soft spot. Gamo took care of the bird. Insurance replaced my sunroof ($1600).
