Crazy offroad inventions

Wanted to start a thread with the weird and unique offroad inventions that you've ran across in your internet searches. I've seen sand ladders but not one like this. Not sure how that strap works. If you know of something odd please post it up.

Sand ladder

Pulls the "skid" under to the tire. Then the tire crawls on top of the skid and out.

Neat little tool. We don't have much sand so I dont know how it would work. I'm sure a spiked version might work work in snow!

Likewise. I suspect by the time a 4WD 4Runner is stuck in sand, this won't work because it rotates with the wheel. A Runner stuck in sand needs to be dug out, jacked up, pulled out, or given a stable surface and a ramp to climb. Maybe the idea is you use the strap to get it under the wheel and then lose the strap. Then I bet it would just kick the silly thing to the rear.

Might help a 2WD if not dug in.

Well these are meant to be used from the get go so u dont get stuck in the sand. ITs a preventative thing but its only meant to be used when the sand is deep so its more of a "you walk in front and figure out then use them".

Some of my friends so sand boarding and wheel their rigs in the sand so thats the only reason i know.

It's the strap that's throwing me off, not the sand ladder itself. Do your friends have that added strap on theirs? I've just never seen that part before and don't know if it's ingenius or a waste.
