Creaking noise when braking hard

I seem to have developed a creaking noise on my 04 SE V6 when I come to a stop after braking hard. The noise happens as I am coming to a stop. From what I can tell, it might have something to do with the suspension because it seems to coincide with the momentum of the truck leaning forward, then easing back. Any thoughts?

Is it in the rear? Mine has the rear seat latch creaking when I back out of the drive - uneven surface. There is a TSB on it, but it does not bother me enough to fix it yet.

It is in the rear, but it sounds more like something with the suspension. It really seems to coincide with the trucks body movement.

If it is the seat issue, does it go away if the seats are folded down, as a test?

Yes, it will go away if the seats are folded down.

To be in detail, mine comes from the passenger rear seat and I thought it was suspension too. I could not pin point it so I went to a park where I could back over parking lot concrete curbs to see if it was something in the suspension. Nothing happened as I tried to twist the frame. (I didn't do anything worse than you would have run into off road - just backed over a few of those parking lot curbs very slowly). Do a search for creaking and you should find the thread with the TSB. I have it printed out at home - don't have the number with me.

Mine does this and it's the rear brakes. I took it back to the dealer right before it went out of warrenty and they said they lubed the rear pads. Of course the problem only went away for about 4 months, just long enough for the repair to no longer be covered under warrenty.

Mine seeems to be worse in hot weather and if I'm going down steep slopes. I'm going to look at things the next time I rotate the tires and see if I can figure out what they did and do it again myself.
