Critique my prospective suspension/tire upgrade - 2006 Limited V8

Hi everyone,

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on new suspension and tires for my 2006 Limited V8. I'm hoping to hear your feedback on the setup I've chosen and to get your help on these questions:

1) How likely am I to be out of alignment if I choose not to get new UCA's?
2) Are sway-bar relocates necessary with this setup?
3) How likely is rubbing with these tires? Will I need to do more than just minor mud-flap and wheel-well liner modification?

FWIW, this is my daily driver. I'm hoping to achieve a better look and better ride than the worn out XREAS provides. I don't do much off-roading but would like whatever setup I choose to give me better capability off-road.

Thanks in advance! Prospective setup below:

Front
OME 885 coils
OME 90021 shocks
OME Trim packer

Rear
OME 60020 rear shocks
Toytec Superflex rear coils

Tires
275 /65 R18 - Falken Wildpeak A/T3W

edit: I would also love your thoughts on this Slee Off Road kit. Do you think this would be a better option for a daily driver that I mostly want to improve ride quality for? How much would this help the look/stance?

1. You'll be able to get camber and toe in spec unless your cam bolts are seized. It's the caster that'll likely be out with stock UCAs

2. Probably not necessary, but my thought process was, it's a pretty cheap add-on when you're spending enough to replace shocks, springs and tires.

3. I have different wheels and Bora spacers, so I'll have to let someone else confirm. But if I had to guess, if you have the stock limited wheels, you shouldn't have to do more than move the wheel well liner. Stock tires are 265, so 275 is only 5mm closer to the UCA. I would think there's more clearance than that in the stock configuration.

Also, shameless plug...

I have the same setup in my V6. I like it. I find it a good balance between capability and daily usage. I did upgrade the rear to the 895 when I added my drawer kit. That also dropped my front enough to get the alignment specs in the green. I don't know the weight difference up front on the V8 but may want to go 884s up front.

I am definitely not an expert nor have I had OME springs or shocks but from everything I have read, and that's a ton, they are really meant for vehicles carrying weight. They are Australian-focused and that's what is needed there: carrying huge loads.

I also think that Dobinsons seems to have replaced OME as the favorite supplier on this forum. They offer two valving options on their rear shocks, the second being more civilized and their springs are awesome. My front springs which are 10% stiffer than stock made the ride more comfortable rather than less all the while raising the front and reducing the sometimes comical front dive when offroading.

Again, maybe the OME coils work just as well with the right spring rates, but do your own research on their shocks because they do have a reputation for a harsh ride on lightly loaded vehicles on all forums I have read through. It seems a bit similar with Eibach vs 5100s, both perform very well but Eibach seem to be a bit more civilized on pavement.

My 2c.
