Crossed Jumper Cables - VSC not working

Alright alright...keep the "you are an idiot" comments to a minimum. :) My baby was screaming...wife was having a fit so I made a dumb mistake.

I jumped my 2005 4runner and crossed the cables for a few seconds. I corrected my stupid mistake before trying to start it. It runs fine now but it snowed today and the VSC and traction control don't kick in. The rear wiper and read defog don't work either.

Are there fuses for the VSC/traction control that may have blown?

Thanks...

Solved

I thought the VSC wasn't working but I went out and really stepped on it in the snow and the traction control and the vsc did kick in.

As for the defogger, rear wiper/washer....putting the rear windows down and back up again resolved the problem. The sensor must have thought the window was down I guess. Weird.

Thanks for the reply.

damn, thought we had a new VSC disable mod!

I am glad you figured it out. If the back window is not up all the way, even if you think it is, the rear window wiper won't work. On my 3rd gen. I was maybe 1/8" off or less and it didn't work. I am glad you didn't go tearing the car apart to figure it out.
