I found out that these guys didn't think the 4th Gen. could run with the older 4Runners and Tacos- needless to say, I put them in their place I didn't need to be pulled out of or over ANYTHING, while MANY of them needed it at least once in the day . . . .
If any of you live in New England or close by and want to do some wheelin', let me know, because they are a good group of guys . . .

These Nitto Terra Grapplers are great! I only aired down to 20 psi because I got scared I'd lose the bead :bonk:

Here are some good videos . . . .

The first video shows a first gen. 4Runner that got hung up on the wash out, had to get pulled out backwards, then finally got through (the video only shows him getting through).

The second shows the same 1st gen. pulling another 1st gen. through the same washout.

Last, you can see me get through without the need for tow straps :tongue:

That looks like a ton of fun! I love the last video. I wish we had that much snow here. They really didn't think you were going to make it up that bank. Way to represent the 4th Gen's ksneubec! :cheers:

I catch crap all the time from my JEEP buddies. Then everyone else just says: "I'd never do that with a brand new 4Runner!" Those Nitto's look great. I'll hopefully getting a set this month or early January. I can't wait!!

Makes me want to go back home to CT. I lived on the Union/Stafford Springs border for 10 years myself out in the boonies/woods and have many fine memories of enjoying the 4Wheel'n opportunities. Any locals know where Roaring Brook/Crooked S Rd is? That was my stomping grounds.

stickney hill rd takes you to the road that gets you into the trail

To be honest, I think I got lucky on that trail, in the back of my CJ7, when I was 17. That is why it looks familar!

BTW, pass by my place at north and we'll go to some places where no vehicle can drive during the snowing winter. That's going to be cool...

Ha! Yeah, the Xterra did pretty good- it did have to get towed over the washout, the same one seen in the videos, but so did a few of the others . . . . .

Yeah, I had plans to go with the Revos, but thanks to Bobby and his great deal (and high peer-pressure skills ), I went with the Nittos. (Koz should get some credit too ). I LOVE them though- drive great on the road, dirt trails, snow, rain, etc. Just a little louder than stock tires, but not noticeable with the radio on.

I got it from a National Speed Center store near me. I bet you can find similar ones on the internet.
