Here is my new mount for my bike, I am starting to ride a lot more and figured I might as well leave my bike in the truck.

I took a Yakima fork mount and bolted it to the floor. Total cost $25. :flipoff:

Great job! Saw this a little bit ago mentioned on the forum. Here is another idea if you don't want to drill into your floor and you can remove it easy. Just a thought.

I liked the wood idea, but I figured if i get tired of this set up i'll take it out and silicone the holes. Plus I dont have a piece of plywood laying back there.

Looks Good. I also like the plywood idea, but would cut it so it covers the seat back as well. My bike is usually pretty dirty after riding and it would be nice for all the dirt and mud to fall on the wood instead of fabric.

I did something identical to this for my element. I used a 1x6 and had it covered by line-x.. worked out great. Ended up selling it to a friend when I got the runner.

I wish I had a picture, I mounted the bike fork mounts to the back of the fold down seat on my IH scout ina similar fashion. Worked great.

My brother did something similar in his Xterra years ago. He mounted two of those fork mounts to a 2x4 and cut it to fit the width of the cargo area.

I myself prefer to have my bike outside my truck. I usually find some mud on the trails and don't want to track it in!
