do you noticed how it sound from the subwoofer from one side? i plan to order some subs also but don't know if i should buy 1 12s or 2 10s. i plan to get only one since i need alot of space due to business use. but would it sound weird if one sub coming from one corner?

i have one sub in one corner now and it sounds great, not weird at all

Subs aren't like speakers in the respect you don't need to balance them to get the desired result. Think about how many people stick one in a trunk of a car-sealed up and away from the rear seats!

but if you were driving, would you noticed that the sub is mostly on the right side (if you put it on the right side) rather than the left? some people put their subs AWAY from the seats which i don't get. but i guess some people don't understand the point of subwoofers. it makes the music more melo but MOST people would want the car to vibrate which i don't see what's the point of that.

Sub frequencies are non-directional.

Count me in on a group buy but only if it can be make for the driver side instead or is part of the storage compartment used that it can only go as shown?

For your amp in the back, did they cut your seat open and put it in? Why didn't you do this for the other amp also? I probably wouldn't want to install the amp like that just in case I sell the car in the future.

If you sell the car in the future, leave the mesh/grill part on the back of the seat and no one would probably question it.

The installer cut the metal inside the rear seat and installed it there.... I dont really know any details about it because I didnt see him do it. I put the other amp under the front seat because it was rather expensive to get that one amp installed in the rear seat, and the one under the front seat was small enough to fit under there.

It doesnt sound weird at all coming from one corner... so how many people are in for the boxes? I need at least 20 and thats probably going to be pretty hard...

I've very interested, but can it be made for the right side? Also, can it easily be removed? I want to know just in case I need to get to the jack.

heres mine...

cant tell where its coming from, no.

Oh that is very nice. Many loose the ability to use the double decker thingy, when installing a sub that size. Also it is the first one I have seen with the amp in that location. Super Sweet man.

Maybe you can pass on the info that there is interest in the box to the installer, but not 20 people. Even if he raises his price a bit, maybe then he'd still do it?

Ok ill ask him about upping the price for fewer people.

The box does not block the location of the jack... the jack is located on the left side and this is only on the right. All you will lose is a 12V plug if you have that, the right side compartment, and the right side small door that is located on the wheel well but theres another one on the left side.

yep...subs are non-directional...thats why when you hear deep bass...you cant tell where it is coming from until you hear the highs ;) ...then you can point to which car is doing it *hehe*

VERY nice, clean box....I'd be interested in it if I knew the cubic ft...then I could graph how different subs would sound in that box....any idea on what the cubic ft space is???

what is the exact volume of the box?

Because that would impact the decision of the subwoofer to be decided.

Also, what material? is it fiberglass or MDF?

thanks in advance

David

Theres not gonna be enough people (20+) for him to ship them out and make a profit. If you are located in Houston, or anywhere in that general area then I can maybe help you out. Send me a PM.

a lot more people will be interested in this IF someone would tell us the volume of the box....what is the cubic air space of this box?? the choice to buy this box is made on what speaker I'd put in it...and to decide what speaker I'd put in it, i need to know the volume :) (sealed doesnt matter as much, but vented does)

that is a VERY nice box...perfect location, out of the way, and still allows the use of the shelf :) I find it hard to believe there isnt at least 20 people that would get one...most 4runner people probably dont even know this is offered ;)
