Custom power steering lines anyone?

I'm wondering if anyone has made custom flex lines for there 3rd gen. I tired to save my lines as best I could 2 years ago, sanded them down and used protective paint but my return line cracked wide open yesterday. It's band aided with a soft line right now but I'm sure my high pressure line isn't to far behind.

I've tried searching but have not come up with anyone making custom lines. I can figure out what fittings I need on my own once's I have it pulled apart but it would be ideal to be able to pre order everything so I'm only under there once.

It also looks like I have to disconnect the rack to get at the lines. I was thinking I might as well do poly bushings at the same time. Are there any other parts that are easier to install with the rack removed?

^ Right on, could be an option I'll price out. I have a local company in mind i've already used to make lines for my car. He charge 50 a line so I know I can do this cheaper than oem. I just need to figure out the thread pitch of the power steering pump and the rack. I was hoping I could figure it out before taking it apart.

on a side note that steering rack is a pia to take off. I looked at it last night, wtf was toyota thinking with that centre bolt. The weld nut is one you can access! I'm not looking forward to removing this thing.

Wow really good call! 150 bucks cad for both lines.... is rock auto canadian? why are the price's in cad? I always thought that was an american company. Either way even if there are duties this is a better choice. Thanks I would have never thought to check them out.

American - comes to 250 with shipping/taxes, not terrible but I'm still going to look into custom before I make the purchase. I'll update this thread with the out come.

No no they are american, you could try giving the part numbers to a local parts supplier. I've done that on some parts and they've been able to find them for me.

Where are you in Canada? I get my stuff shipped to the border (niagara falls) and go pick it up there, save a load on shipping / duty / taxes

I got everything out last night and realized on my 97 I have a unique bando bolt on the power steering pump that has vacuum lines. This fitting is preventing me from running lines made at a hydrualic shop so it looks like I'm back to oem. Thanks again for the rockauto suggestion I'll be ordering them from there.
