Custom roof racks?

I imagine there's more than a couple of folks here that took matters into their own hands and built a nice roof rack/basket. Once I get a new bumper on mine, I'm planning on doing just that with camping season coming up quick here, but I'm hoping to get a few ideas. My main concern is if I can get the stock rails to accept anything past the crossbars(I would do some measurements, but the old girl's in the body shop at the moment) in order to have a better weight capacity.

So any pictures and such would be greatly appreciated!

your stock rails will carry a lot of weight but spreading it out is a must. you can flex the roof in many places with your hands but trust me, its strong. check my racks out if you like, just dont go copying:wink2:
