Custom Roof Racks?

I know some of you have gone the custom route on your roof racks. Is there any way i can get you to post some pictures and give some build/function details? Modified or just good store bought racks are good too so dont hold back if you have pictures of those. Ive been tinking about how i may like a roof rack but want to see what yall have done first.

So post your pictures with some description so we cann all check out what youve done.

blk - I found a guy on eBay of all places who was selling a custom made rack. He was an out of work welder - the rack was rated for over 1K lbs (way more than the roof of the vehicle can hold) and has a light bar.

I had it shipped to my door for $135! This was a couple years back already so I am trying desperately to try and find the details. It's really great quality; solid 1/2" square steel tubing (most use hollow 3/4"). Here is a bad picture of it; I will take some better ones this evening and post back - hopefully with the seller details:

The only thing I can say that is difficult about it is that all standard aftermarket attachments are made for the 3/4" tubing (or other) which don't match up well - but nonetheless I have been able to find everything I need to fit with some good internet searching.

This one looks similar to yours but costs way more. Looks like i may need to do some e-bay searching.

Blackout roof racks

I also like the design of these. Id love to be able to use it at the rifle range.

These look interesting but i would have to add more of a floor to them.

Safari Racks

GOBI makes some nice racks that are out of my budget. Maybe its time to learn how to weld and just make it really fit my "wants".

yeah the gobi racks are pretty sweet - i like the way they did everything and their accessories are nice too. I couldn't find the eBay details - sorry it's been a few years. I did take some new photos this evening though of my rack:
