Custom RotopaX Mount

Took me a second to figure how to mount a few Jerry cans. I'm still up in the air if I wanted to use 4x4 Labs mount... I'd basically lose the use of my ladder though. And I'm using that for tent access. The tent also killed most any roof rack thinking. So I grabbed a Jeeper spare tire RoropaX mount. Whacked the base plate off. Cut a custom plate to sync with 4x4 Labs tire mount hardware. I'm fairly happy with the result so far. Still going to look at 4x4 Labs mount. We'll see.

I like the inginuity but hate how much extra it hangs off, bummer there is no room on the rack. Would you consider putting them under were the tire was? (admittedly not well protected unless you fab a skid/plate and a pain to get to, but its an option)

gmercier used his tire space for a 4gallon paX. Was curious about something like this at first... Was worried about the protection though.
