Custom Subwoofer Enclosures

Anyone seen any custom subwoofer enclosures for 2nd gen 4Runners? I know QLogic makes one for 3rd gen that sits on either side of the cargo area. Anything like that?

i got a sub and amp in the back....its on 'quick release' wiring so i can remove it easily if i need the space

Thats what I have... in my 1st gen. A quick release that is still offroad worthy is some good steel "happy-hookers" - the jeep style hood hold-downs, they keep the box in place and its easy to take it out.

what kind of "quick release" wiring are you talking about?

I have a box with two 12s in it. I just lock it to my tie-downs with padlocks. Keeps it from sliding around and from getting stolen. Plus it's easy to remove it. I would definitely go that route. That way you have a bit more versatility. :dancin:

I dont remember where, but I actually saw a 4RUNNER with 2 tens in it that were in the side compartments of the back. They took the little door off built the frame for the subs, had it wired through there, and then you dont ever have to worry about removing them so you have extra space. Just put the amp under the rear seats, or the front seats are where my amps are. I guess, If you wanted to only put one sub in, you could turn the other compartment into the amp holder, I have seen the amps in there before also.
