these are some pics not finished yet.
I picked up a used oem front grill from ebay for really cheap. So I got it to tear it up and make somthing cool..lol
tools and supplies
1.bondo
2,bodo fiberglass hair
3 sand paper(60,120,220,400)
4.sheet metal 18-20 gauge.I had it lieng around.
5.sheet metal screws.
6 .10pcs file set. a rounded oen and a box forsure.
7.some epoxy.
8.dremel with cut off discs. (I used some diamond metal ones from harbor freight for like $5 works like magic on plastic and dont snap at all. the say they cut metal (total B.S.)
I am pretty good at bondoing so I dont recomend this for beginners at all. Unless you got lots of spare tiem and a spare grill

this took me a whole weekend. mostly waiting for bondo and fiber glass to dry.
i cut the center and emblem holder thing out. Now its a flimsy floppy grill. take your time cutting the 20 support fins.So you dont have to use filler on them later. I cut them close and filed the rest down..
2 I used the sheet metal and and epoxied it behind the front emblem hole and the hole on teh side of the grill that were from teh center being cut. I the used sheet metal screws and screwed them from the back and cut the remander off the top. this was to reinforce it.
3.then i used the bondo hair on top of the metal plates to even the gap in the plastic. Then i just bondoed over it.
4. I used a rounded file to get a perfect curve on the center part of grill and a box file to get a perfect step on the lower cross bar. Then just block sanded it down.
5. prime,paint and clear coat.
I really like the look and cost me time $40 in supplies and $40 used grill on ebay..i scored cheap grill.
I would be happy to answer any of you questions. I am currently fixing some imperfections. So more pics to come.Plus it is just rattle canned for now.
