Cut and shut hilux surf

Came across this video on Youtube of a father and son re-building the rear end of a heavily smacked Hilux Surf. Best viewed with sound off. Looks like the money they saved DIY'ing paid for the OTT sound system. It passed the MOT with flying colours.

I'm a nut when it comes to panel gaps and the most minor defects. I wonder how the job looks up close.

The paint job doesn't match very well but the gaps look uniform in some pics.

I won't knock paint match since they did the job themselves. Body shops still have trouble with matching paint.
