CV axle replacement / reboot info please

One of my clamps did not sit well. I have used a zip tie...a medium to large zip tie on one of the boots. It is still holding and the factory OEM boots are doing great after the reboot with stock axles. I went with new Toyota axles grease and when you buy the stock boots you will get new grease, boots and clamps.

I bought some stainless security ties at walmart recently and thought about giving them a try on my steering rack first. They are narrow enough to fit in the groove of the boot for the rack but may work well on the cv's as well.

thanks for the replies everyone. not sure if i already posted this but i already decided to cut the stock clamps and bought some hose clamps and put them in their place. its held up quite well, havent leaked anything sense. i dont expect to get that much life out of them but i think they will provide enough life out of them till next year.
ill have to see how much the CVs move when i take it offroading. took it out this weekend for a 5 hour trip and it did great. no problems with the CVs at all
