Hi all,
i followed Settytb's great writeup on replacing my cv axles and have a cautionary tale. i followed everything on that thread and he really nailed it. every warning happened and it went like clockwork... except the seal. i forgot that part of it and just replaced the axles. the driver side was great, no leaks. the passenger side had a little drip. so, being frugal, i went to Napa and got one for $6 not the $22 from the dealer. after 3 reinstalls, which kept dripping, i finally got the OEM unit. i can do the whole thing in less than one hour by myself, so that's awsome and now it doesn't leak. i guess this is one operation where OEM is the way to go.
