hey guys i just tore my CV Axle and was going to replace it and i have done this once to another vehicle and was wandering if all the specialty tools i need is a pickle fork to seperate the ball joint, and just pull the steering knuckle sideways and pull it out, then take it off the other side. but i also was wandering if i have to replace my lower ball joint when i use the picklefork on it?

Thanks guys............

You can use a 12mm socket and wrench and just remove the upper ball joint.

Yeah i never done it on a rear wheel drive with four wheel drive, and i talked my local auto store person and he said to seperate the lower ball joint with the pickle fork and do it that way and just reuse and regrease the old BJ boot if it doesnt crack........but thanks for the info and i hope this forum helps people in the future
