So I just installed my Toytec Ultimate lift, got it aligned today and notice the CB boots were starting to leak. The boots are fairly new, and not torn. They are leaking from the ends, looks like they are stretched from the lift, I have the diff drop too. Anyone else had this problem? Are there longer boots that might work?

Usually happens after someone puts a lift on these trucks. They been at the same angle for so long and then you move that angle by lifting the truck. If you just caught it and theres not much grease that flung out of it, All you should need is a new clamp.
If it's been like that for a while their's probably not much grease left in the boot. Then you need to dissemble and repack with that special CV grease.

Mine did it too. I used hose clamps to seal them up. Then they both split like melons about 4 months later, but mine were both old.

Did you get any vibrations from the extra weight of the clamp on the cv joint? I just noticed the larger inner side of one of mine is leaking too.

The stock CVs, after sitting in one position for so many years just don't like the new angle all of a sudden. Get as much use out of them as you can and when they're all torn up, buy new ones and you shouldn't have any problems with the new CVs leaking. Like Pikeman said, it's very common and happened to me too.
Thanks for the info, I'll get some now and change when it cools down. It was 120 in my garage the day I did my lift.

There's really no hurry if you want to wait a while. Mine threw all the grease out, shredded the boots after a few months, and then I still used them through a whole winter using 4x4 almost everyday, totally greaseless. They never did break, I finally just replaced them as maintenance. Keep your old ones too, they're good to have as spares if you break one on a trail or something.

Thankfully they don't use salt up here (it contaminates the lakes), they use cinder rocks. My truck is very happy about that since it's 14 yrs old and has no rust anywhere. Well, except for those damn 6 month old shit Moog lower ball joints, they're already covered in orange!
