That's normal for them to be hard to get to the second 90 degree stretch. A longer ratchet or breaker bar helps and can be used if you mark the fasteners with a paint pen so you can see how far you have turned it in degrees.For all you who have done this
Recently replaced head gasket and bought new cylinder head bolts
Torqued to 25 lbs and then the first 90 degrees but the other 90 degrees are super hard to achieve
Is this normal for new bolts
Using 16” torque wrench
