DAC button

When removing my console to do some stereo work, a clip on my downhill assist control (DAC) button broke. Now it annoyingly will not set in place, pops out and activates unintentionally. A new assembly is $77 at the dealer and best price I can find online is $55. IMO that's nuts for a button that still "works" so I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or hacks for modding the button to get it to stay put. Of course there's always some trusty duct tape but I was looking for other suggestions before resorting to such alternatives. Thanks!

i hate where that button is located. right on the center console always gets turned on should have put it on the dash with the rest of the buttons

I used Electrical tape around the side with the broken tab, layered it until it stayed put. I too hate where they put this, my dogs turn it on all the time during road trips.
