Daihatsu mini truck

A few weeks ago I was out at a garage sale and this followed me home. Its a 87 daihatsu hijet jumbo 4x4 mini truck with AC. PO painted it like the general lee, even has a dixie horn. Got it cheap because it wouldn't run right. Brought it home and cleaned and adjusted the carb and got it running good except for a big off idle. Adjusted the points and cleaned the plugs and now it runs perfect.

The old lawnmower tires were in bad shape and it drive horrible. I bought some 23" radials for a fourwheeler and installed them. Drives great now.

Seems pretty good offroad, tires helped a lot. It is a little low to the ground, and the radiator looks a little exposed underneath. No idea about snow. Last time it snowed here was 2yrs ago lol.

a friend of mine has one with a big dog box in the bed and uses it for hog hunting in central florida. It will just about go anywhere his polaris ranger will go. awesome ride!

550cc 3cyl, around 40hp. 4 speed stick. Right hand drive so takes awhile to get used to shifting left handed.
