I drive 50 miles everyday for work but I do some offroading on the weekend. I am planning to use a hi lift jack for getting unstuck. I need to add anchor points front and rear. where can I add clevises for lifting and pulling while keeping stock bumpers?

The back is easy - buy a receiver hitch. Short of an aftermarket front bumber, the front is a hassle. For my Tacoma I added a second tow hook to the front and carried a short strap to loop under the tow hooks.

sonoran steel (sonoransteel.com) makes front shackle hangars that replace the front tow point. pretty slick.

If you have access to a welder, Poison Spyder Customs has the D-Ring Mounts for the front for $30 a piece. Just remove the stock hooks and weld on the new D-Ring mounts.

Poison spyder is cool! Too bad they only do "jeeps".
Looks like Steve does nice work at sonoran steel, but his price for the anchor points is ridiculous.
As it turns out, I made a set this week. I machined them out of 1x2 cold rolled steel. All one piece, no welding. I need to get some 50mm long bolts to try them out. I'll post results and pics if anyone would like.

With stock bumpers and no sliders, what is the best way to lift the 4runner with a hi lift jack?

There's a hi-lift accessory called a liftmate that lifts from the wheel. Works well and lifts the vehicle fast since there's no overcoming the suspension travel.
