Daily driving without front sway bar?

I had my swaybar off for about 2 weeks while I ordered new links, and I loved how the truck drove! Definitely more sway when turning but I kinda liked it, and goig over bumps was night and day difference.

I got the new links in and reinstalled the sway bar and I want to take it back off. Im just wondering if it is ok to daily drive it without a front sway bar, the only thing that I have read about it is most people don’t like the sway and dont feel safe without it and that on the stock suspension it can be pretty loose. I have bilsteins all the way around and aftermarket coils.

I felt perfectly comfortable and safe driving without it but I want to make sure it wont mess with anything having it consistently off.

Mine has been off for a couple years now, no problems. If you feel comfortable with it and aren't the type of driver that jerks the steering wheel into the ditch when a deer jumps in front of you, then you should be fine.
 
No not that kinda driver. Yea I honestly don’t feel that much of a difference until you go over some bumps or start swerving. Is there a risk of it flippin if you did have to do a swerve at higher speeds?
 
Ive taken off the front sway bars on all my 4runners, just drive like like a lifted SUV and not a racecar and you will be fine.

Nice! Yea im gonna take it back off, might put it back on if Im going on a road trip but feels way better without it around town.

When I installed my lift I had one seized bolt (sheared it in half) and the other side the welded nut broke loose. I left it off for a road trip and actually really liked it. But I was paranoid of the event I needed a high speed manuever, I know the vehicles not gonna perform like a road car and this move isn't my first choice, but if I needed to I was worried of how the vehicle would react. So it's back on for now.

Yea havent tried it on the highway yet, so will see how it feels going around 80ish and see if I still feel comfortable.
 
I've been running No front sway bar for a few years, And I enjoy the benefits. I also run 700lb coil overs in the front.

I would not recommend it unless you have stiffer front coils to compensate for the lean. If you need to do an evasive maneuver it will be difficult. Even with that, it takes about a week or two, to acclimate to the difference in the way the truck reacts to certain handling situations.

I would not recommend driving without the rear sway bar. I did it for 2 months and then re attached it and decided for ON road driving having the rear sway bar is much nicer. Its also easy enough to remove if you decide to go off roading and have extended brake lines to compensate for additional flex.
 
Running no front or rear sways. 700# coils and ~300# additional front weight.

I daily and drive it like a race car. Feels stable at speeds (80-95 mph) I love how it handles. Quality suspension makes a world of difference. I also run a lower ride height than many which helps (~2.5" vs 3" lift)

That said, I will be installing an anti-rock rear sway when I go full LT rear shocks. Doesn't limit the articulation but provides more stability

I am on 6112 and first trip on the freeway without sway bars was very noticeable. I wasn’t a fan, but I also run the 600lb springs that came with the shocks, and have a full length steel roof rack. At freeway speeds it absolutely feels weak in the knees and the weight up top doesn’t help… takes away from a lot of driver confidence.

I really need to look into disconnects or fine tune the spring rate because I prefer freeway driving with sway bars.
 
Mine has been hanging on the wall for 2 years. Only time it goes back on is when I tow my boat

I have 2 other daily driver's but if I drove the T4R everyday, I'd feel comfortable driving without it installed
 
You'll learn not to swerve to avoid objects really fast after you do it the first time. I don't DD my 4runner anymore, but I did it for awhile without the sway bars.
 
I removed mine and noticed it's leaning but not really bad. For as long as you don't swerve suddenly, you'll be fine. it's actually more dangerous to swerve whether you have the sway bar or not. I've been seeing this youtube videos about other drivers swerving and getting into a serious accident really.

I ran no front sway bar on both of my FJs, my first GX, and now my second GX. You get used to it and account for turns and also engine braking by downshifting is key when taking turns. It's really not that bad and I prefer it.
 
Put it back on and you might find that the ride quality is suddenly much better. Because it will be, unless you have really stiff aftermarket coil springs
 
I currently run no FSB. If you're running after market coils that are stiffer than the oem's, then I don't see a problem. I have OME 896's and had Moog FJC springs and paired with the FSB, the front end was way too stiff and would want to induce understeer. Without the FSB, it drove pretty neutral. There's more body roll, but it's still manageable.
