I would be surprised if those tires were actually street legal. In MA or CA they would definitely not be legal on the roads.

those tires are actually DOT approved for highway use, the only issue he might have would be not having fender flares to cover any rooster tails he would throw in say.... rainy weather. i cant tell how far off the ground his bumper is, but he may be in violation there for being too tall, esp. looking at that pic next to the low rider....

It's amazing what some people can get away with these days as far as mods go. I know we have some pretty stupid (and sometimes downright puzzling) laws regarding vehicle codes and whatnot in California. About a week ago I saw a lifted Dodge PU with similar tires at the Bay Bridge toll. It was ridiculously huge (looked wider than a freak'n dually), I'm surprised the guy got it through the toll gate.

Trucks jacked up like that are a dime a dozen here in Florida...

The only thing a cop would ask about is the bumper. It has to be less thna 36" off the ground if memory serves me. I remember when they started enforcing that law.

The lift, tires, and lack of fender flares would go completely unnoticed in Ocala. There's way too many trucks worse off than that one around here for them to start caring now.

i dont know about that, my buddy has a YJ on 39.5" boggers that is comp cut and wheel base lengthened.... no fender flares, bumper is def. over 36" tall and he gets pulled over all the time, that is when it is running well enough to get out of his apt. complex.... damn jeeps

I can really only speak for Ocala and the OPD. There are hundreds of trucks here with tires sticking out a foot or more. I've never even heard of one getting pulled over.

What is he getting pulled for?

I don't suppose he looks like a druggie and they're using the truck as an excuse to talk to him are they?
