Dang headrest wont stay down.

Anyone else have this issue?

I like my headrest all the way down. I set it all the way down.


But it somehow magically raises every couple of days. Invariably I don't notice until I am driving and it is poking me in the back on my head. I can't lower it while in the vehicle because my left shoulder is messed up and wont let me reach back to release the lock. So I literally have to pull over and stop, get out, lower the headrest and start again.

Starting to think the darn thing is haunted.

BTW I am the ONLY that drives my Runner or even sits in the driver seat.

I did till I marked the head rest poles with a marker and put them back ... where the mark stopped thats where I cut alittle slot for the teeth to hold them in place.

Well glad I'm not alone on this and good to see a couple of suggestions.

Slightly pulling the bars apart or pushing them together might put just enough friction on them to keep the headrest down.

Filing a bit on the bottom notch might be enough to hold it down.

A wrap of tape might also work.

All good idea.

Safety???? I'm not all that tall and the headrest hits me right in the middle of the back of my head when it is all the way down.
