Danged Horn!

I thought everyone was being just a little too critical - after all, how bad could it be? Sheesh, I had a Honda Trail 50 with a better horn.

Thanks to y'all, I was prepared with Fiamm's, wire, connectors, and best of all how to deal with those clever little push-clips.

Picked up my new Bliz Prl SR5 yesterday afternoon, (me likey) and by the time we left for dinner, I had new horns, and I'm not afraid to use 'em.

Congrats on the new ride! Yeah the horns are the only flaw I have found so far. A quick question: Did the Fiamms come with everything you needed to install them? Thanks in advance!

Well, I wouldn't say "everything". The pkg contains 2 horns, red plastic covers which I threw away, ditto the relay, two brackets and mounting nuts.

I removed the stock horn and used the same location and mounting bolt. I installed the two brackets in a "V" back in the same spot, using the same bolt and location as the stock POS horn.

I cut the connector off the original horn wire, stripped and crimped it and a jumper wire onto a new female spade connector. Put a female spade on the other end of the jumper and hooked 'er up. Cake. 30 min. tops.

Like I said above, the big time-saver was knowing how to operate those clever little retaining pins.

EDIT: Cheap fix, the horns sound very nice, not overmuch at all.
