Hey there T4R! I'm Danny, and I picked up a near-pristine '95 4Runner 3.0 4x4 to go along with my '06 Tacoma a little while back. After having it for awhile and deciding whether or not to keep it, I've grown fond of the ol' girl, so I think it's time I dive down the rabbit hole of mods.
Currently, I drive/wheel a 2006 Tacoma, which I love with all my heart. It's got a V6, 4x4, double-cab short bed, speedway blue, +2" long travel up front with 2.5x8" travel Kings, 11" travel Kings (Tundra rears) in the back with OME Dakars, a Brute Force Fab front and a BFF rear high clearance dual-swing bumper, cheap ol' bed bars and a Freespirit Recreation 55" High Country RTT (see Tacomaworld build below). It'll be in the 2019 Tacomaworld calendar if you really like it :rockon:

Overall, that taco shreds. However, I feel like I am reaching the limits of its IFS abilities (or the limits of my comfort with wheeling on IFS), so it's about time for the T4R to step up to the plate for wheeling. As of right now, I haven't done anything to it other than working to catch up on the maintenance that was so neglected on this poor thing. Luckily, I was able to snag a full OME kit and BudBuilt skids for this thing in my search for just new shocks. A buddy had a set with only a couple thousand miles that he ditched when he SASd his, so that will be going on soon. Here's what I'm thinking as a plan for now:
Phase 1:
- Catch up on maintenance to baseline the truck
- Already done: engine oil, transmission, Fr/Rr differentials and transfercase service
- Radiator replacement
- Power steering pump and hose replacement
- Serpentine belt replacement
- Potential exhaust leak fix
- Whatever else is found in the search for why the MPG is so terribly bad (~9 mpg average around town)
- Install OME shocks Fr/Rr, BJ spacer and rear coils
- Install BudBuilt skids
- Install 33x10.50r15 BFG AT KO2s
- Build rear drawer/storage system for camping gear
- Accumulate parts for phase 2...
Phase 2
SAS!!!
- Front IFS eliminator kit from Trail Gear (maybe Sky's?)
- 315/75R16 (or R17) tires (Either MTRs, Falken MTs or Cooper STT Pros)
- Stealth Custom Series F-5 wheels, 16" or 17", matte dark bronze
- Regear to 5.29s and add Fr/Rr lockers
- Trail gear front bumper
- Rock sliders
- Coastal Offroad high clearance rear bumper w/ dual swingouts
- Trail gear front bumper w/ stinger
- 12k pound winch (cuz beef, if it fits lol)
Phase 3
- Engine swap: either 3.4 5VZFE or Cummins 2.8 Repower diesel
- 37s? Would probably need 17s then... :decision:

Lots of hopes and dreams here, but I'm excited about them. Once I get this thing SASd I can disarm the Tacoma's rock defenses a little and maybe build it into more of a go-fast truck/daily driver again. Until then, here are the few pictures I have of the 4Runner.
