Dash Air Vents

The Center left air vent, above the radio in my 2000 Ltd is wobbling on the left side, like it's broken where it mounts. I have managed to pull the entire radio surround on my 1997 SR5 which I am parting out. I took it off without breaking anything. Am I correct in thinking that the vents are the same on both models?

I'm hoping it will be an easy task to swap them over.

Also, the clock in my 2000 hasn't worked since i bought it, but the clock in my 97, which I also removed, has always worked. They look slightly different, so I don't think I can swap them over.

Can anyone advise please?

I'm going to say no to the vents being the same. Reason being: I just pulled two dash vents out of a 99+ 3rd gen to swap into my sisters 98. The newer vents fit into the slots of the 98 console, however they wobble and visibly do not fit "snugly" into the brackets. They work, but wobble.
