Dash glass/plastic has haze

I just bought a 97 4Runner, it is in great shape accept the dash glass/plastic has a haze on it. I tried to scrub the outside, but it appears it is hazed over on the inside. I can not tell if if this is something like armor all on the inside or if the plastic has just faded.

Has anyone else had this happen and how is the best way to take the dash apart to get behind to try to clean. Is it hard to put the dash back togeather and also where can I buy a new dash glass/plastic piece, I think I might just have to get a new one.

Are you 100% sure it is on the inside??

I have never heard of the plastic getting dirty on the inside they are sealed pretty good.

If it is on the outside dull/scratched then I would get some plastic polish any autoparts store carries it, and try that first before you go tearing the dash apart.

Plus taking apart the dash is a PITA. I would first try the plastic polish and go from there.

BUMP!!!!

I have the same problem kind of. I have like blades of grass inside the bottom of my dash. I always wondered how it got in there. I'm too scared to take it apart cause i wouldn't know how to put it back.

Is it really hard to get this glass/plastic cover off and clean or replace if it cant be cleaned and is stained?
