Dash/Glovebox protection

Seems like the passenger side can be a little cramped between the seat and the glovebox/dash, even with the seat at an intermediate position for carrying passengers in the back. Also not helped by the addition of the knee airbags.

Has anyone had any issues with scratches in this area from people brushing it with their knees and baggage? (i.e. women with high boots and purses)

A thin, brushed aluminum plate would be nice for protection in this area. Does anyone have any experience with fabricating such a thing, type of adhesive to use, etc?

Although not as visually appealing, but just as functional, would be a clear adhesive strip. Stand up paddleboards use something similar on the rail to prevent chipping from the paddle.

Next thing you know I'll be putting plastic covers on the seats like its my grandmas house.....

Maybe use that 3M stuff people are covering the outside with? It looks pretty thick. Personally don't have any scratches yet. Center console plastic though is another story.

Yes, If you get the Premium Package on the SR5, you get;

"...Leather-trimmed and heated 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat with power lumbar support; leather-trimmed second-row seat, leather-trimmed steering wheel...".

I love the leather wrapped steering wheel.
