Hi, I'm new here so if this question has already been posted, my apology.
Whats the best way to replace the stock orange dash lights with something better...like maybe white. Has any of you done this and if so, who did it it for you? Just purchased an 09 UR 4R AND LOVE IT!! ...except for that orange!

There are a lot of people that have changed them to LED's.
There is even a post on here that a guy does it for you.

I suggest having Alex (emelianenkov) do them. He does the needles and everything. One of the first mods i had done. Couldn't imagine ever having to look at that dreadful color again.

If you go with white LEDs, BE SURE to have Alex install LEDs from ozium.com. I'm pretty sure he uses them exclusively for that color. Yeah, the orange LEDs are "blah".

The only reason I haven't done this to my own gauges is because I haven't decided on what color I want. The orange provides minimal night vision disruption and allows the use of red warning lights that stand out against the rest, I'd love blue but it's too bright for night time driving. :(

Am I the only one that likes the factory look?

I drove my 03 sport for almost 6 years with the stock orange and it never bothered me, it wasn't until I saw people swapping them on this forum, and I had my 08 SR5 that I wanted to change them

Actually this was my biggest hang up to doing mine, I couldn't decide what color to go with

thanks for the replys, but who is this "alex" guy. I live in the midwest. Where does he live? btw: love "CookieRoes" photo. that exactly what I'd like:clap2:

DIY its not hard if you have basic soldering experience. I done mine in a couple hours from start to finish. its definitely cheaper to diy also, thats if you have the stuff to do it.

Does anyone know the bulb # for the heated seat piece, which I assume is the same as the bulb for the DAC control piece that fits into the blank spots behind the shifter?

I'm looking to do the cupholder lights (#74), shifter light (#74 or a LED strip), and heated seat light and also the rear window button on the left side of the HVAC.
any suggestions for the best size strip to buy for the shifter light swap?

thanks in advance!

OK, My dealership parts guy said they could do this for me, but he could'nt find the part number for the dash bulbs. Would any of you know what bulbs they are?
