dashboard rattle

was gonna have a local trusted mechanic look for the rattle under my dash thats driving me crazy.My question is is it a good idea to go into dash.Im worried that maybe this might make MORE rattles appear.any suggestions?

Does it sound like it's behind the glovebox or inside the air vent by the pass window?
I had one of those. I removed the glovebox and used some gaffers tape (duct tape) and taped the cables from the air control and the radio antenna cables. Mine would vibrate against the heater box. Tape anything you see.

hey gerdo,it sounds kind of like its the black piece that sits in front of the windshield.I'll keep duct tape in mind thanks bud

I took care of a dash rattle by cramming one of those little rubber feet off an old DVD player between the dash and the windshield.

hey bri,ya i was over at the tacoma forum and it seems to be more commin on the tacoma.my advice was to cram rubber in there also,i tried it with no effect,now its looking like I have to take the hard route.
