For those who might be interested, Dave Matthews band has a new CD/DVD, Stand Up, which was released today. They played the Roseland Ballroom in NYC last night, and the concert is available as a free webcast on aol:

I loved DMB a when he was new. Seems like he defines the definition of cliche. He needs new stuff instead of going to different locations and puking out the same songs over and over. Hey, dont' get me wrong..they are great but how is it possible to keep selling the same song over and over with only one or two new every one or two years?

Not really a fan and they are talented but to reiterate CV's comment it that he's kinda stale but fans eat up what i like to call "comfortable" music,people feel safe with his music and know what to expect;definetly a bunch of good musicians but way too mellow for me.

He needs to break the formula of writing his first two albums over and over and try something daring but that might freak out his fans over 50 including my mom.

I am not that big of a fan, but he puts on one hell of a show. I go see him at The Gorge every summer. It is, by far, the greatest venue for a concert that I have ever seen. I'm sure anyone else from this area can attest to that.

dave matthews, wow, dave matthews is hella cool, can i say that? well anyways, at Needham B Broughton HS DMB is the SHIT!! all the cool kids listen to dave and only the coolest go to his concerts. I love dave, and his concerts are off the heezy, or something. Just when i thought his music was kinda old he hits me with dream girl and american baby, 2 of his BEST songs !!! (my opinion) Ive been to all his concerts since i was 15 when he comes to town and every year their awesome, great crowd of people. Its good music to listen to with all the windows down(even the back one) cruising around on a sunny warm saturday afternoon. Its the kind of music you can crank up and the person in the car next to you wont yell about it. It was actually at a dave concert that "Pico Vs. The Island Trees" was preforming as an opener/sideshow. Go buy/download/rip/burn w/e your choice is their album and let me know what yall think. Pico is another one of my absolute favorite bands, they are a little local band made up of some highschool kids from the area that know one else really knows about but the sound would be loved by everyone if they heard it.
