I'll be working Saturdays for a while it looks like. :frusty: If I am somehow able to make it, I will take my Tacoma. That is too long a drive in the loud 4runner for such an easy trail.

Oh well hopefully it works out, and that's what I was talking about I would like to see both haha but yeah way to far of a drive for the runner.

Hey guys, sorry in advanced that I don't have a 4runner. I can't find a lot of info or at least recent info besides this page. I've got a mostly stock 98 cr-v and I was just looking for a few easy trails to try out. I keep hearing about richland but I'm not sure that the cr-v can make it. I don't have much experience offroad, but I just transferred up here and have to stay over summer and I'd like to get into it some. I hear that the cr-v's can do some basic stuff though.

Hey, sorry for the late reply. To answer your question. I definitely wouldn't try it in that CR-V. I'd do it in a stock 4X4 Tacoma probably at the very least. But damn if I wouldn't like to see you try it in that thing, lol! If you want to give it a go on the next trip, just stay tuned to this thread. We'll be there to winch you along if you need it. I don't know how others that have ran it feel about trying it in your rig, so they may want to chime in. But if it were me? I wouldn't. Hope that helps.
We had a great trip this weekend with minimum casualties. I banged a front LCA mount on a big rock getting crazy on a creek crossing and [MENTION=94189]hurt4x[/MENTION] broke a rear shock on gnarly little hill climb that he had to rodeo up without a functioning locker. Good times. I'll post pics to my build thread soon.

I agree with [MENTION=68704]superman3043[/MENTION] here. I did this trail with [MENTION=94189]hurt4x[/MENTION] back in Dec and I have a completely stock 4x4 4runner. Thanks to the Cent Diff Lock and 4-Lo I never had to be pulled up and made it through everything, but if Hurt wasn't there to coach me through where to put my line EXACTLY I'm sure it would not have been pretty (and probably expensive). I'm not sure what the clearance is for the CR-V, but all I know is that there were multiple times where I was scraping and was nervous for the belly of the 4runner.
All that to say, it's your call and there are some great folks on here like Hurt, Superman and others who would help you if needed, but just be careful.
This trail is not that hard. Any kind of 4wd should be able to make it if you don't hit some of the side trails and avoid harder obstacles. The one part you might have trouble with is the wet rock wall near the beginning. I made it through in rwd on 29 inch all terrains, getting pulled out only once on that rock wall I mentioned (by [MENTION=94189]hurt4x[/MENTION] ) . Other times I was trying to show off/push the limits.
TL;DR - there's one really tough spot, but bring a buddy and you'll be alright, if you don't get overconfident.
