Daystar 2.5/1.5 Easy Install - actual lift heights?

Hey all of you who have installed the Daystar 2.5/1.5 easy install kit - what were your actual lift heights after installation? Are you getting 2.5" in the front, or more like 3" that others were getting with the older design?

(Did lots of searching, but still haven't found the answer to that question...)

it all depends on how many miles you have on the stock suspension, i found that with over 100k on my sr5 that a 3/2 spacer lift actually yielded about 2.5/1.5 like the daystar. if you have a lot of miles on the stock suspension, id say that getting the full 2.5/1.5 out of the daystar would be unlikely

I can find it for you when I get home today. I think I still have the box. If you have XREAS get this top out kit. It's a pain to work with the hydraulics, let alone with spring compressors. I bought it on amazon. Take a look at my build, I think there may be a photo of the box with a PN on it.

Really? It seems like if you use a spacer lift, you will get whatever lift the spacer thickness provides (taking into account the geometry of the front suspension). You aren't replacing the coils, so your spring compression will not change. You're just sticking a spacer on the top of the coil.

That's why I'm interested in what amount of actual lift folks are getting from the 2.5/1.5 kit. I know tons of people have done this lift, so I'm hoping for some more feedback. Anyone???

it will affect it. if you look at members who installed the daystar kit when they had low miles, they get a front fender height of about 36" with stock tires. with stock tires and a spacer designed to give 3" of lift my front fender height is about 35". over time the springs, which are what give a vehicle lift, will sag and lose strength, resulting in a lower ride height
 
I agree with Blute. If you aren't changing the coils, then with a spacer lift you should get consistent lift at the time of install 100% of the time. Spacers don't sag. What you see is what you get. The coils may keep sagging over time, but at the time of installation you should be getting what was advertised.
 
so im at about 73k miles right now with about 1k on the daystars and just measured the front is at 36" and the back is closer to 37" not sure what the stock height is. Still have stock size tires.

I assume you're measuring from the fender to the floor. My stock heights are about 33 1/4 in the front and 35 3/4 in the rear. That's in my garage which probably has a little slope to it, and measurement error is easily +/- 0.25" between your measurements and mine. Just as an estimate, using your numbers with my stock numbers I estimate roughly 2.75" lift in the front and 1.25" in the rear. Again, with the 0.25" error we're looking at 2.5-3.0" in the front, which doesn't really help me. I really want to know if folks are getting 2.5 or closer to 3.0" in the front with this lift...

Anyone else have actual before/after measurements for the 2.5/1.5 easy install lift?

correct, im referring to how much actual gain in suspension height after the install. i gained 3" of lift from my spacer, but my measurements from ground to fender made showed that i lost about a half of an inch over time due to my springs sagging, thus rendering me with what appeared to be 2.5" of "actual" lift

We're probably saying the same thing, just in different ways, lol. I'm interested in what actual lift folks are getting at the time of the lift, not compared to a new stock vehicle before any sagging has occurred. So it sounds like you gained 3.0" when you did your lift.

Anyone else?

Saw the box on pg 2 but there was no info on that side of it.
 
BUMP...

So I picked up some Daystar kits at 4wheelparts yesterday. The front spacer in the 2.5/1.5 kit is exactly 1.5" thick; so assuming a 2x ratio, I would imagine you will get 3" of lift. The spacer in the budget boost kit is exactly 1.0" thick, thus you will get 2".

I am still interested in how much actual lift folks are getting in the front with the 2.5/1.5 kit. Is anyone getting 2.5", or is everyone getting 3"?
