DayStar 2.5/1.5 w/?

I have a daystar 2.5/1.5 lift on my 07 sr5 I love how it looks but want to have some function beyond the fashion. My ride def stiffened up which is great but can I or is it even reasonable to add bils5100? Or fj springs? What will this help me gain in terms of ride and add lift? I see this combo a lot just don't know if it would serve any purpose or if it is even possible?
I'm pretty green with all this but so far my lift, gobi rack PIAA lights ultra gauntlet wheels and 32 bfg at kos made me fall back in love with da family car ;

spacers just isnt a good way to go from the get go sooner or later you'll hate it trust me i had it on for a while, after i switched to billis and softer coils and shock the ride difference is night and day. billistein has my vote, there is a reason they are around this long

i think you can get both because the spacers sit on top of everything so why would it make a difference what is under there, and my 4R seems to handle dips and speedbumps better now after i got the daystar installed. dont know how but it does. I would look into it more but im pretty sure you can do both but if you get the 5100s i would put it to its highest setting since you already have the daystar it would stretch it out too much and would ride bad.

You can add the FJ coils to your Daystar spacers, but it'll put you at about 3.5" of lift in the front which will give you some alignment trouble and put your CV's at a bad angle. If you go with the 5100's, you should take the spacers out and use the adjustable spring perch to get the lift you want. Several folks have done FJ coils with 5100's and love the results... I love the ride quality of mine with the stock XREAS shocks.

Probably because you aren't hitting the bump stops anymore. The stock ride height is so low in the front that it doesn't take much to make contact... I know that mine did when going over speed bumps at anything faster than a roll.

the 5100's are used to lift the front 0-2.5 & as stated on the web site, shouldn't be used with spacers unless kept on the lowest setting so if ur happy with where ur at now with the DS 2.5/1.5 all u need is the bilstein heavy duty shocks, they cost less than the 5100, the rears are valved the same as the 5100, the front are slightly different, http://www.toyota-4runner.org/suspension/84359-hd-5100-5160-bilstein-valve-rates.html so imo, u have a few choices, 1. keep DS & get bilstein HD shocks, (this will keep the same height with slightly better ride) 2. keep DS & get bilstein HD shocks & FJ coils (this will give almost an inch more lift tho ( maybe too much) + better ride, 3. ditch the front DS spacers, keep the rear ones & get the 5100 & FJ coils, just set the front to give u 3 in. lift & not over

just to add my $.02....I did the FJC/5100's swap and love the result. Ride difference is night and day over stock (although my shocks were tired so anything would've helped). You have some options as Chaz states above but what I would do is put the 5100's at the top perch and keep the DS 1.5 spacer in the rear. I'm actually planning on doing this in the future when I get bigger tires. I currently have my 5100's set at the 3rd notch (1.75") and with the FJC coils gained 2" of lift in the front, about 1/2" in the rear. Leveled her right out.
