Daystar/JC Whitney Frustration

So, 1 month ago I ordered a daystar 2.5 inch lift for my T4R. The remarks said they expected my package to ship by Mar 20th. I figured that's a long time from Mar. 7th (when I bought), but manageable. Mar 20th came and went...still no package. I called JC Whitney and they were going to look into it. A few days later, still no word. Last Tuesday I get a call saying my package will ship on Thursday (1 week ago). Monday came and still no package or notification of shipment. Called JC Whitney again, and was told the manager would get in touch with daystar and call me back with some status. Still no word today so I called JCWhitney AGAIN!!! They said they had not heard back from daystar yet (2 days after they called?) and said they would notify me with info as soon as they got it. Well, I was so mad that I have had to wait a month now that I just cancelled the order all together! This whole thing is freakin ridiculous. 1 month goes by and my order still doesn't ship and no one has the answer as to why???? WTF? Anyways, the bad news is I now have to wait longer, the good news is I am smarter on lifts and can look into something better! I just thought I'd share my experience for those of you that are thinking about JC Whitney or daystar. Sorry for the long rant.

Same thing happened to me when I bought the Daystar 2.5 for my 4th gen. I didnt buy from JC Whitney, I cant remember the company I got it from. The company said they ship within 48 hours, but didnt ship the spacers for a month after I ordered them. They were backordered from Daystar. I almost cancelled my order too, but they came a few days later. It probably is not all JC Whitneys fault (though they should have told you that they are not in stock and are ordered from Daystar) but I think it is Daystar that takes forever with their service.

i feel your pain man, i deal with Daystar direct and they are by far the slowest company we deal with. I agree, its prob not JC's fault- that is just Daystar for you. I personally would cancel and get something aluminum in place of their poly setup anyways. Lots of guys call us and end up going with alumunim because the poly warps and you lose alighment, etc. Just my .02
