Welcome. Many have that kit. This thread has lots of pics of different lift and tire combos. There a few rigs in with the Daystar. The Daystar has been used by many and is well liked.

Chris good to be on. I just checked out a set of FJC springs after reading the story about your upgrades. I figure, I cant go wrong replacing the V6 springs (front and rear) with the thicker bar-stock FJ springs while I'm at it. I hope to improve the ride, load and handling while also adding the height for the bigger tires/wheels. Thanks for your work on the springs posts. How are they working out?

Love them... They are what the 4Runner should've been delivered with IMHO. The egotistical side of me says that I have single-handly run the price up on takeoff FJ components. I affected the market price and was too stupid to make money off of it! I remember when when they were free plus shipping:lmao:
Many have used the FJC springs and even FJC shocks with great results. The complete "takeoff" from the FJC that's upgrading to coilovers or OME have become quite the commodity in the 4th gen 4Runner community. Most (here) have found takeoffs with fairly low mileage and lots of life left. Anything under 15k miles is a good find IMHO.
There's no doubt in my mind that a complete OME or coilover setup is better than a FJC setup but for $75-$150 how can you beat the FJC upgrade, especially if your a 'DIY guy' for the install?
IMHO, the spring length and spring rate of the FJC 4wd is perfect for a mild upgrade to the 4th gen 4Runner.
If you do choose to look for FJC springs(/shocks) many have had good luck foraging through the 'for sale' sections of the FJCruiser forums.

Follow Up....
Chris, I think it is hilarious that you have single handedly increased the demand and price of take-off FJ parts. Luckily, I found a complete set of take-off shocks and springs with (according to the seller had only 1800 miles) on ebay for $80 to-my-door. Had the springs installed with the Daystar 2.5/1.5, Pro-comp es6000/es3000(respectively), V-tec "Off road" 17x9 wheels wrapped with 265/70/17 Hankook ATm rf10s just the other day. It handles, feels and rides waaayyyy better. And looks....well great. I'll do pics soon.

Hmm, sorry about that! If it's what I'm thinking, I really wanted that set too! I really just needed front springs, so I backed out on the bidding. At least they went to a fellow T4R member, and that I also found a set of springs for free.

did you buy this one KT09124BK or this one KT09115BK?
I am about to purchase but wanna make sure . I want the 2.5"/1.5".
I have read some threads stating that the correct part # is KT09115BK but according to amazon this is for a 2.5/2.5 and they have the other one KT09124BK listed as 2.5/1.5

I got the daystar at Autoeverything.com for dirt cheap. Thought It was the wrong part # at first glance as well, but ended up being correct. Had it on with the pro-comp shocks / FJ springs / and Hankook ATm Rf10's fo 1000 miles.....OUTSTANDING!

JAC ... from what I can tell you need the DAYKT09127BK and the DAYKT09126BK. I did not get "bump stops" with mine. I believe sold together they are the ....115BK kit.
Looks like you have 4 hours left to do your research. Try the Daystar website and look for your/our (I have an 07 4x) application...I know they have PDF versions of the installation instructions there. They may also include the part # on them.
Im going to look into the 2 vs. 4wd thing a little bit.

Thanks again for ur help guys...now I am ready to order anytime between tomorrow and saturday...so hopefully my baby will be lifted in about 2 weeks...yess...:girl: can't waitNegative. Its the easy install kit for a 4wd. Includes the 2 front strut spacers,2 rear coil spacers and bolt extensions.
