Daystar Lift Safe??

Hey guys just want to ask a few questions ive been searching and cant find a answer.

I have a 01 4 runner 2wd Im lifting and I want it safe for the Wife and kiddie.

Im looking at the daystar lift

and then these 16x8 wheels with -6mm offset

and then 265 75 16 or 285 75 16 tire.

Do you guys see any problems with the set up im thinking of doing. Any saftey issues or alignment issues?? Do i need longer shocks or anything like that.

Will a 285 75 16 work with a 2.5 lift??

Any info is appreciated i just dont want to make a unsafe ride for the family

Absolutely! its safe! I THINK those tires will fit but I'm no expert...

You will need an alignment after installing the spacer lift, as it will be a little off...

You do NOT need longer shocks or anything since its just 2.5" of lift, I run the same thing, no problems...

I did some reading today.

my 01 is the lowest truck by far because of the change from toyota which you can read here

so im going to get brand new 99 springs which will lift my 2wd up 2 inches then use the spacers for another 2.5 inches. Hopefully that works out.

yea but i dont think it would ride very good, and it lifting your truck 2 inches is doubtful. personally i would never buy the SS 3 system.

My 99 springs keep it riding high, and i put on the daystar also...I would just buy some OEM 99 springs on ebay or some website...

after the daystar was installed, the ride was a little stiffer in the front, but softer in the back...

the easiest way to describe it is that the ride is overall a little bouncier, but the bounces are softer than they originally were...

yah the springs that guy sells are the higher 99 ones
