Daystar Pics Needed with Stock 16s

Hey friends,

I have an 08 with stock 16s on it now. I am considering adding a leveling kit, but don't know how satisfied I will be with the look of it without upgrading the wheels and tires. I'm running on 265/70/16s with Michelin MS2s, and am thinking the 2.5" 1.5" Daystar kit.

I'm just a little worried that I'll immediately want wheels and tires. That is to say, I know I'll *want* to upgrade them -- but I don't want to feel like I *need* to do so until I put some miles on the Michelins.

Does anyone have a picture of the 4th gen stock 16s with a Daystar or cornfed leveling kit? Much obliged.

Thanks, amigo. This helps a lot. Not too many folks on here with the 16s, so I was having a hard time envisioning what it'll look like. It's not as bad as I worried it may be.

The one thing I will say is that you will hate the offset of the stock wheels with the lift. I highly suggest spacers for you. I replaced my wheels the next morning with another set of toyota 16's. They stick out about .5''s more than the stockers you see ^^ (5'' backspacing on the ones pictured, and 4.5'' backspacing on the ones on it now) The wider stance is deffinately more ''rugged'' looking

Thanks for the heads-up. I've got a beat on a set of Sequoia 5 stars with Duratracs that I am trying to swap with a dude here locally. The tires only have 5K on them, and the wheels look to be in good shape. I'll have to ante in my 4Runner 16s and the almost new Michelin MS2s, along with $200, but I think it'd be a good move. The Duratracs are $170/tire, and the Sequoia wheels are getting tough to come by... Thoughts on the trade?...

How bad is the road noise with Duratracs? I've read the 285s howl a bit, but that the 265s are better. These are 265/70/17s. Love the look of them....never driven them...and I don't want to yell in my truck to talk to my wife or infant daughter when we need to take the 4R.

Also, those wheels bolt right up, correct? From everything I am reading, they do. Anyone know the offset, and how that'll function with the Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit? My gut tells me it'll better suit the truck, but I am interested to hear opinions here.

Sorry havent been on since that last massage. The answer is yes. They will bolt right up, and they will look more attractive than the street tires and "flowery" 16's.

Duratracs get a lot of good rep around here. The only complaint is a week sidewall. You should be fine unless you are doing any hardcore rock climbng though.

Road noise should not be terrible.

As far as pictures, they should look very similar to the last picture I posted.
