DDM Tuning HIDs

So I have the xenon headlight assembly from Protuninglab/Spec D Tuning and they come with 35w xenon bulbs. I want to switch to the 55w 6000K xenons from DDM Tuning. Do I need to get any of the additional wiring harnesses or cables when I purchase the new bulbs for them to work?

No sir, plug and play as long as you specify they are 9006. Although just to be on the safe side, the ballast themselves may need to be for 55w in order to power the later bulbs. Ive used them before and everything was okay but it was for a little bit, nothing long term.

I have DDM HIDs on mine, heads and fogs. I lovethem and they work great. Plug and play.

See the picture with the kelvin colors/range:

Yellow= 3k all the way up to 30k which is a purple and very dangerous for night time driving, cause you cant see diddly squat.

my favorite as I am sure a lot of us agree, is 3000k/3500k (Yellow) for fogs, and for headlights/driving, the best is 4300 or up to 5k no more than that...

ALSO to answer your question, you email them your specific color/kelvin and let them know you want 9006 specific, as soon as you win the auction, that way its a plug and play for your 4runner.

55w 6000K xenons is exactly what I have for my headlights and it's plug n play. I LOVE it. I get compliments all the time and they are BRIGHT!

i have ddm tuning hids....lows and fogs....i got 35w 5000k bulbs for all mine but according to these charts i would rate my color temperature at more like 8k....not at all what i was looking for and not really impressed with how different they are compared to how they are advertised....fyi ddm is probably one of the top 3 worst companies i have EVER dealt with lol....the only reason they are worth dealing with is because their products are so cheap. But they are also very cheaply made....all my wiring connectors were installed backwards...and 2 of my 4 lights fail to ignite 1:10 times....but good luck lol

I also have 2 sets of DDM Tuning HIDs. 5k Lows, 3k fogs.

They have been great so far.

My ONLY warning about this brand's ballasts:

If you plan on running a CB/HAM radio, these ballasts emit EMI and will interfere with the radio to the point where it is un-useable. Just FYI.

i bought the spec d halo projector with hid kit, ws ny splicing needed for the instll?. also the circular pl.aastic cover @ the bck of the headlights.....ws there aany need to cut it up or drill a hole?

Not a very good experience with DDM Tunign either. I had ordered headlights and fogs. The headlights works GREAT, but the fogs refused to work. I had the bulbs tested out and they weren't working. When I sent them back to DDM Tuning, they tested and said they are working fine. Shipped the items back to me for EXTRA shipping charges. I just don't know what to do with them now. I'm gonna give it another try soon. Their customer service was very rude though. Never will buy again from them.

i only could run HIDs with a relay harness with resistors. Toyota wiring is very weird. Some has issues some never do.

I wouldn't recommend ddm either. Headlights worked great until about a month ago, right side a bit dim (installed them about six months ago). Checked power output on both sides and read the same. Left side fog light just stopped working.

again, had the same issues until i installed a relay with a resistor. I wouldnt blame the product before exhausting your options.

So you're saying something designed for a stock bulb/output acts weird when hooking up something more powerful and aftermarket not made with the vehicle? You dont say?!
