So I need HID's DDM's look great and have lifetime warranty which is awesome, whats even better is i have a second vehicle that is my summer vehicle that takes H4s so i can swap them back and forth in between the 2 when the season change from summer to winter hahaha so i would only be doing it once a year not to big of a hassle, but what exactly do i need, i want the 55w Hi/lo 8000k but then it asks about dual harness?? do i need Dual in and dual out???? do i need an error eliminator?? do i need adapter cables??? I didnt know that there were this many options, any help from ppl that have bought DDM for there runner

This is what I ordered.
Raptor HID Kit, 35W, H4 High / Low, 5000K
Some brackets might be good so the ballasts are not flopping around in the engine bay. I wound up zip tieing the brackets. The wiring is just long enough to reach the passenger side with this kit. Another 6 inches of wiring would be awesome. Didn't get anything else for the kit.
The 8000K might be to bright for oncoming traffic. Just my opinion though.

I would go with 5k. You should not need the error eliminator.
i have used 8000k 55w before and wasnt ever flashed by on coming traffic unless i had actually left my brights on, not to be a cock! but if its a little to bright for them and it help me see much better at night i dont mind pissing a one or two ppl off here and there...IMO thanks for the info on what i need to get

I am not speaking about the brightness, I should have cleared that up.
Anything over ~4300k you will start losing brightness, and be a target for the Police.

Generally, the higher you go in color temperature, the dimmer the light output. 4300K - 6000K are known to be the brightest. However, DDM says that if you get the 55W kit, they burn so bright that an 8000K would actually have the same color as 35w 6000K.

No i defiantly agree, i have hard as well the higher K you go in the bulb the less bright it is, i actually used to have 6000k 55w zentec ones and they were causing me so many problems so i switched back to silver stars but now that i have found DDM which seem to be reliable im ready to switch back....now im questioning going with 8000k i think ill stick with 6000k just for the brightness though

hey man! the slim ballast have a quicker start up cause they are digital. (what i hear anyway) I agree with what everyone has said too, The higher the kelvin rating the lower the light output your gonna get. especially on rainy and bad weather days. the blue light is gonna really suck regardess if they are 35K or 55K you remember seeing my HID's those were 4500K
Dude lets do a retrofit i can help you with that now that i know what to do. the light output is 10 times better then just the PnP HID's or anything ive ever driven

I dont know, i guess some of you guys got great light output by putting HID bulbs in your headlights but not me. My Housings are factory and the light output was horrible
Anyway I think i got everything for $250 (projectors and bulbs) then all you need are some hi/lo ballasts. we could knock it out in a day probably.

I used a set of 55 watt ddm 5000k hids in a set of hella 700's They would shine for miles. They were the brightest lights I have seen, except for some expensive led light bars. I got the slim ballast version. I think they were $49. I sold those lights because they were too bright.
I also installed a 35 watt regular kit in 5000k into my cousins civic. They look great, but he gets flashed quite a bit. They were $29 for that kit. It was cheaper than silverstars and they are bright.
I would say if you do it, dont throw a ddm 55 watt kit in your headlights. Its too bright.

yeah bealive it or not those in the pics are 5000K. but yeah i hear ya man it took me a while to decide to spend that much on headlights but i figured i drive more at night then i do off road so it kind of made that decision for me. but oh how bad i want to start lifting my truck and armor it up too!

Here are some pics of my old hellas with a 55 watt ddm kit in them I know your talking about regular headlight housing, but maybe this will help show you how bright mine were
