DDM Tuning Saber LED for DRL / High

I got my DDM kit the other day, and I plan on installing it this weekend. Looking at the instructions (somewhat useless), they illustrate the use of the supplied allen wrench, but no explanation on what this is for. Can someone shed some light on this? And from what I've read, I assume that I should change out the installed orange o-rings for the larger black ones, correct?

Go back and re-read this thread, you should be able to find your answers as to what the allen wrench is for....
HINT: ---> might have something to do with the allen screw?!?!?!?!

sorry, I guess I didn't read that post closely enough. I did know that I want them at 9 and 3, but I didn't recall the mention of the allen wrench.

My set came with one facing the 12/6 o'clock and one facing the 3/9 o'clock position. Had to use the Allen wrench to reposition one, the other was fine.
I guess, some vehicles reflectors work better with the LED's positioned differently.

Installed a pair yesterday and really happy with them. Now it's glaringly obvious I need to do something about the low beams!!

I recieved the DDM SABER leds today and installed them. Got a chance to test them out tonight and it was awesome except one thing.

The DRL flickers and it is very noticable. Is there a way to stop this?

Coolhead64. What kind of filter are you talking about?

So the DDM sabers do not have the flicker, and the 2 stroke do not have the flicker if you put in the the filter.

Mine DDM Saber leds flickers as well in DRL mode.

Did we get an update on the DDM harness that eliminates the flicker? Just installed mine, and at DRL levels, the flicker is super noticeable (imho).

Someone in 1 of the two LED threads mentioned morimoto was making a harness to eliminate the flicker.

Yes i have seen people talking about that.. I also went into DDM tuning website and saw some harness but i'm not sure which one is the correct one.

And define "noticeable".

I only ask as I know this is all subjective, but I don't see any flicker in High. And my eyes can only catch the DRL "strobe" out of my side vision. When looking directly at the DRL my eyes don't catch any "flicker"

Trying to determine if you are having a different result that could be more than the AC current pulse I just described.

I, too, got the 2-strokes with the flicker links. I installed the bulbs initially without the links to see if they really were that bad. They are nice and bright with zero flicker for high beams, and dim down to a reasonable brightness for DRL use (with flicker). Flicker was along the lines of crappy LED christmas lights; Doesn't overtly affect performance, but is definitely noticeable when you move your eyes quickly, and it does bother me whenever I park near a wall or similar.

I installed my morimoto flicker links today, though, and they required a decent amount of swapping wires in connectors to make the polarities line up (ended up swapping 3 of 4 connectors total to make the lights turn on). Problem is that they are not rectifying the signal, they somehow just bump the PWM signal back to the nominal 12V high beam voltage, and there is no dimming when in DRL mode anymore. Not exactly what I was hoping for...

The DDMs look nice, and for 70 bucks I'd be willing to change, but I don't really want to deal with the DRL flicker anymore if they are also susceptible to it. Maybe a custom rectifier circuit is in order....

I can get a cat back exhaust shipped for less...

I'd call DDM on that, deff seems high.... I dont even see a shipping change on my invoice....?

Has anyone tried these yet? Any feedback... trying to decide between these and the DDM Tuning. I was told the XD do not flicker in DRL setting with CANbus.
