Dealer Service - Is Something Missing?

Just got my first oil change at 5000 miles about 3 weeks ago. I was rotating my tires today and looked underneath my car and noticed this long piece of plastic sticking out and couldn't tell why it was there. I really haven't looked under my car since it was new so I don't know exactly what it should look like... but I don't think this is right. Did they remove a skid plate or something and forget to reinstall it? If not part of a skid plate, what is this thing sticking out?

Unless you're seeing something I'm not, everything looks right. That thing is more of a deflector than a skid plate.

OK, that makes me feel beter. From looking at it I figured it was supposed to attach to something rather than just protrude out like that which made me worry a little. But if that is normal than I'll just ignore it. Thanks!!
